On my Acer netbook, running Windows 7, I got a “bad pool header” error followed by the BSOD. After restarting the netbook, the error and BSOD appear after a few minutes. Repairing and restoring Windows had no effect. Found the cause of the issue to be some bad RAM. Months earlier, I had upgraded the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB. I still had the old RAM. After swapping the RAM and restarting the netbook, the problem was solved.
